Have a reminder function for programmes

Recording everything defeats the object of wanting to be informed that something is about to start.

I am, of course, neither of those things. I have, howvever, been recording everything I watch since getting my first DVD - the original Tivo - back in 2002. I don't need reminding that something has started because it is being recorded so will be available for me to watch when I want to; which is the entire point  of a DVR.

@CarlW2020 And how do you manage live TV? Recording live TV such as football or news to watch later seems redundant especially if you have a bet on. And before you say it some of us have memory issues.

We really use the reminder button a lot not so much the record button. 
this is surposed to be an updated service, it seems it's gone backwards. Really really disappointed

The reminder is useful for F1 races or the like surely no one wants to record a 4 hour programme!

Get the programme reminder option added to Sky Q. I always used this feature when i had Sky HD it was very useful and I miss not having it with Sky Q/
