Re: Have a reminder function for programmes

I have filled out the protest to bring it back. I really don't understand why Sky did remove it. Also I don't understand why they are not listening or reading all these comments

Re: Have a reminder function for programmes

I signed it, thank you. I really hopes this works, and I just couldn't believe that it wasn't part of the new upgraded box, poor form.

If it can record 6 things at once, surely the software can accommodate a reminder. The mind boggles

Re: Have a reminder function for programmes

Sky refuse to bring back the reminder function in skyQ as the downloads show as viewings, reg@rdless of the fact they say they do.

down load something and it then suggests other junk to download based on the fact you have watched something.

it is just so sky can inflate the viewing figures .
Sky Q technology is more than capable of  the reminder function,  it actually has it built in to the record series etc, the box knows what's coming up, they just force you to record rather than allow the box to remind you.

i went back to sky HD on Friday and didn't miss a single live football  match as my reminders kept flashing up, it was great.

sky will never activate reminders on Q.
best thing to do is revert back, if enough people do it then they may listen.

Re: Have a reminder function for programmes

Please add the 'reminder' option like on the standard HD boxes.   I do not want to record the news (for exampe), but want to me reminded that it is about to start.  Surely this should be standard as SkyQ Box is supposed to be better than HD Box.  Thank you.

Remind me

Why is there no remind me function? This may have already been suggested but it was always a very helpful function with Sky + have no idea why it's not on sky Q.

Re: Have a reminder function for programmes

Used reminders all the time previously also saves maxing the box up with series linked recordings;

especially with kids programmes

would love this feature back

Re: Have a reminder function for programmes

Received an email from Sky today saying 'Get ready, the latest update to your Sky Q box is like nothing you've seen before. Keep an eye out for it over the next few weeks'

I wonder, but I doubt it.

Re: Have a reminder function for programmes

Have really missed this as sometimes I might see a program advertised but then I miss it as I have forgotten when it was

Re: Have a reminder function for programmes

Saw the email and the website, no mention of the reminder, just cosmetic changes and improved audio search.

Re: Have a reminder function for programmes

I have just read a website giving an indication of what's coming.  No mention of the Reminder feature.  Another annoyance is that they deem the PIP (top left) of the screen not to be necessary.  I use this a lot when scrolling through the menus so that I can keep an eye on the current program.
