Have a reminder function for programmes

I have memory probem so reminders are crucial to me,had Q installed yesterday,going to go back to sky plus,,not everyone wants to record everything,i want to watch football from the start!

I know the people who design the sky q box think they are clever. But not everyone agrees. I don't want to record constantly. I like to know when my programme is going to start!

there doesn't seem to be a list to see all recorded programmes as before. Some times think if something isn't broke why fix it. 
God help someone who isn't a techie - nightmare hate this q box

There are many programmes I don't want to record but need a reminder that it is on later that day or later in the week ,it will also save space on the recorded section ...it just makes sense .

I now have a reminder feature working with the Echo Dot on the Alexa App.  I am able to create limitless reminders using the various repeat options in the App (daily, weekends, weekdays, weekly etc).  I hate talking into the Echo Dot so the App serves my purpose.  I usually apply the reminers on my iPhone and use my iPod to show the TV Schedule available on the Sky-Go App so that I am not interferring with any current TV program being shown.  
I will keep badgering the Sky TV people in the shopping centres about the lack of the Reminder Feature but they just dont listen and tell me they haven't heard of the issue before.  This sounds like a standard training remark to me.

Very, very annoying. Only found out after having Sky Q installed. Surely it can't be that hard to add. Its fab for reminding about live events . Why record the football or the rugby we just want to watch it! Please being it back Sky 😞

Hello All  I am not sure if Sky monitor this feed or not but if so they are not worried about this

item or they would have provided an answer or some sort of response to the questions being

Asked by the members so although it is a valid question it seems this will remain unanswered. 

I know Sky Q  is being updated all the time & they will never please everybody but when valid 

Suggestions are made by forum members it would be nice to receive a reply even if it is not

The one you wanted otherwise what is the point.

Got Sky Q yesterday, extremely disappointed there is no reminder function. 

Wife is now putting post it notes on top of the TV. I feel this is a backward step technologically.

I know we can record everything now so won't miss anything but some programs, such as live sporting events, we want to watch as soon as they are broadcast.

Sky reminder is a loss to Sky Q. It's great for watching live events you don't want to miss.

Big mistake removing the reminder function on SkyQ, it was great for catching the start of Live events.
