Re: Have a reminder function for programmes
Just had SKY Q installed and my wife is very disapointed the reminder function is not available. This was an excellent feature and should be brought back.

Re: Have a reminder function for programmes
Just had SkyQ installed (had Sky+ before). Why do Sky feel the need to fix something that was not broken.
Please bring back the remind facility for SkyQ and let the user decide if they want to use it.

Re: Have a reminder function for programmes
I agree with the majority that it is an important loss for Q viewers. Sometimes the recording limit can be inadvertantly exceeded, causing one of them to fail, so a reminder can avoid those occasions especially when a series is set to record and there are multiple episodes in one week.
I really don't see any downside in having reminders, and perhaps it was an oversight that this feature from Sky+ was omitted and their excuse is that nobody wanted it - piffle I say!!!

Re: Have a reminder function for programmes
Agree with all previous. Setting a reminder should be an essential function. It disappears when the programme is seen, unlike the recording function which has to be cancelled manually or it just clutters the disk. Bad decision Sky.

Re: Have a reminder function for programmes
Used the reminder button all the time. Disappointed that it’s not available on sky Q. Wasn’t told before installation.. Thought an upgrade was supposed to be better?!

Re: Have a reminder function for programmes
Just had Sky Q box installed and annoyed that I can't set a reminder. It is such a useful feature especially if planning the evening's entertainment. Please bring this feature back. By only offerring record you are limiting our choices . I also am more likely to forget to watch the recorded programme! I also would like to say that I find the new remote control slippery to use and have to use 2 hands sometimes to press buttons. I wonder if anyone else has had this problem?

Re: Have a reminder function for programmes
Used to use the reminder function a lot as being an older viewer it reminded me when my programmes was starting and do not want to record everything. Please think again about bringing it back.

Re: Have a reminder function for programmes
Just switched to Sky Q a few days ago and it the first thing I noticed. I spent an age on the TV trying to work out how to do it without success before coming on here instead of watching the proram I wanted to watch.
I really missed it straight away. I do not just watch Sky and I have two TVs. The reminder is especially useful to remind me to live pause on Sky and then switch to DTV on the other set and watch a program on that, switching back and forth betwen the two when DTV is showing the bits of programs such as the pundits chatting on Match of the Day that I do not want to watch.
Or is it is really good to remind me when I am on the computer waiting for a program to start.
Looks like I am now having to use an alarm clock in the room to remind me.
