There is a trials support square when pressed brings a Gonzo Lite summary screen which suggests it's only part of what's to come.
sadly I did experience a single audio drop out while watching a live channel gold or Dave lastnight on the mini but as we were told this doesn't address live I'll not moan. The main box behaved very well with intensive viewing of mixed content.
this info screen is interesting. If seem to suggest that the mini box could potentially be UHD enabled (equally could just be to identify it's not) even has a software reset option.
I would be very interested to have a look at the not so light version which likely has access to the testing apps.
ps if your listening still development team please copy the reset code to the main settings page.

The current mini hardware cannot (and never will be able to) support UHD.
The original 1TB non-UHD shows the same in the trials section and that too cannot handle UHD.

Yeah I thought that was probably the case and it was just code to tell the box what not to show. Still having that info screen is helpful.
Surprise the word trial is still included if its officially part of the roll out now but I'd rather have a working version with an extra word than the dropouts. I'm going to change audio settings on the main box and attached TVs today along with the on box Bluetooth settings as that used to be a sure fire way to reintroduce dropouts.
fingerscrossed.

I'm still on Q150. How long do rollouts typically take to reach all customers?
18 Jun 2021 09:30 AM
@ksaro1 In my experience, three to four weeks from first to last batch. I'm usually in the last batch to receive it.

Cheers. So now it's just a waiting game.

Do we know when it might be available on the DR stream ?
Our mini got the Q160 trial update but our main box didn't for some reason.
I suspect it might get missed at the rollout too.

@Scobo It normally gets put on the DR Stream just after the last batch has been rolled out. That said, there have been a couple of occasions I recall where the latest firmware became available on the DR Stream before the rollout was completed.

How is the update received over the Internet or through the satellite dish? Does having the Q box set to eco mode affect the update?

I believe from the satellite at least it needs to be there, I tried an update (I was bored and playing, don't play) when I had lost the satellite and the box just kept cycling, saying it was updating again and again. Even turning it off did not release it.
Fortunately Sky came the next day fixed the LNB and the box updated.

@Mat93 It's delivered via the satellite dish, not the internet. Having the box set to Eco won't prevent it updating

I've seen this mentioned a few times here but just to say that I had the HDR 'drop out' screen flash yesterday when watching SKY HDR show. Checked the TV info and it said it was showing non-HDR. Stopped play and resumed it and it played as HDR again. Q16

@bob1234 @Pistonhead Many thanks. @bob1234 I won't try that lol. Good to know that it's done over the satellite just incase your broadband decides to go down in the middle of downloading 😕

That's disappointing, Sky confirmed on a related thread some time ago they were aware of this problem (HDR dropouts to SDR) had been able to replicate it and were working on a solution. I'd hoped it would have been addressed with the other v3 box issues (sound drop outs and WiFi interference).
