No sound dropouts on recordings on minibox or main Sky Q since Q160 update. Had 1 noticeable dropout on live TV on main box this week. Also had some pixelation on live TV on minibox yesterday.
Not 100% but I'm happy overall.

I had no issues after the first couple of days of Q160 but have had a few drops today and other day. Was on just 1 program that was recorded but today had a couple on bbc watching football and had 1 watching prime. I'm sure I've noticed a few more

DRX895 (2TB), DRX890
Isn't the DRX895 a Sky+HD box?

Yes, I had my first audio dropout yesterday. Two in fact - both during the live football on BBC.
They are the only ones I've had since Q160

Were they the same as pre-Q160? Did you try rewinding and replaying the same sections to see if the drop-outs were on the transmission?
My Q160 drop-out count still remains on zero.

I thought the dropouts on live TV were being addressed separately because it appear to be channel related.

Indeed. Weren't they predominantly with Dolby Atmos on live football matches on Sky Sports channels? I seem to remember reading it was a problem at the broadcast end of things which was partially resolved. I don't watch football so I've not personally experienced this.
The BBC don't broadcast in Atmos so if viewers were experiencing drop-outs during the Euros at the weekend it's more likely to be a different problem. It could just be an isolated blip in the transmission, a signal error caused by the weather, or (unfortunately) a random drop-out like before.

That is live TV, so not really the remit for the fixes, mentioning above by Sky to be assessed with reports on a per channel basis for live TV.
There have been a few reported sound problems with the Live BBC euro2020 coverage for the last few days.
It was a probelm on their broadcast for HD on a number of TV platforms including iPlayer and also their UHD broadcast, so not sure that was Sky 'Q160' related.

Only fair to add my ten penneth for Sky to read.
Had a V1 since 2017 with no sound dropouts, changed to V3 in May 2020, dropouts started.
Connected Sky Q - Samsung Soundbar Q90R - Samsung Q950R TV
Since Q16 rollout - not one drop out, so albeit some time to fix, I no longer have issues.

Still no dropouts for me since Q160 dropped, then again I dont watch football, its possible I suppose that like with internet providers and wimbledon in the past, issues occured due to capacity possibly? Who knows but I am happy so far, and considering how many dropouts people were getting I think Q160 has pretty much done what it said on the tin so to speak.

So, two weeks into Q16 I'd finally say that the quality of the product is finally adequate and, close enough to what SkyQ UHD was originally advertised as, to be acceptable.

I hope this update is pushed to everyone else. It's cutting out every 20 seconds. It's making the games unwatchable.
Is there a way to request this update quicker?
14 Jun 2021 05:36 PM
Unfortunately not. Sky haven't given any precise schedule for when it will be pushed out to everyone. It might be tomorrow, it might be next week, it might be next month. We just don't know.

Good to point out and fair point.
I thought it best to log it anyway - it's the job of us "testers" to log these things so Sky can monitor things.
