Does anyone know if this issue is at all related to the intermitent loud noise I am getting from my soundbar? Every few days in the middle of any show I'll suddenly get a 10-20 second burst of a kind of static noise at full volume, which is very sore on the ears. I've had Sky Q now for over 2 years and this has just now begun in the last few months. My TV is relativley new, but the soundbar itself has been in use with Sky Q for 2 years now without any previous issues.

Hi @ksaro1, I to have this annoying burst of static but very infrequent. 

 

Again, started recently, ie couple of months. 

 

Any others affected/know if this is related?

Have closed my complaint now that's been open since I got the sky Q v3 box in December as Q16 has fixed all issues for me.

Does anyone know the reason why a few of us who registered for testing got Q160 on the mini but not on the main box?  Only asking as although it seems help is on the way I am still having the urge to throw the remote at the tv!

@toomy4s1210  Best hope their configuration control is up to the mark and they don't undo any of the changes they have made by the time the final public release hits the streets.... 😉

No idea mate, we're in the same boat.

Bit frustrating as it's our main box that gets the most use.

Thought we would be able to force update the main box to Q160 seeing as the update failed/didn't happen but no joy there.

Hopefully full rollout won't be too far off.

Juat a thought here. Have you made sure your TV (however new) and your sound bar are on the latest of their respective Firmware?

@Derek+370 just unlucky, the same thing happens when Sky send out firmware updates occassionally some boxes are missed

Sorry if it has been said before here and I'll believe it when I see it, but according to Sky Tech Support Q160 is expected to go on general release 1st July (this year even!).....

Unless anything major crops up, the roll out starts on June 16th with early July as the general DR release.  According to a Sky employee closely associated with the new Q16 software.

All still rock solid on Q160 here. So pleased 😀 It will be well worth the (short?j wait for those that aren't testing.
