Re: Glass as a second TV?

I would've leapt on this product if I could have it as a second tv. Replace my mini box in summer house. Instal this and keep sky q box on main tv. Big miss there from sky. I see this having slow take up because of it as this tv is missing premium features people expect from a main tv.

You can: Glass TV in the summer house and a 'puck' on the existing main television.  There's no requirement for the Glass set to be the 'main' TV at the address.

Re: Glass as a second TV?

Problem I have with this is the upfront cost for replacing the 4 minis I have with 4 pucks.  Rather sticks in the craw.  It's not likely to happen, however I could be swayed with a deal of £25 per puck for existing Q users with mini boxes.

I wasn't that interested at first until I saw that the pucks are 4K so that makes a very big case for upgrading for my requirements.

Re: Glass as a second TV?

A puck on main tv won't be near the same picture quality as a sky q box.

Is this a fact or just guess work?

Oh come off it. A stream will never be as good as the sky q box.

Re: Glass as a second TV?

I use a satellite to watch live tv off my sky q and it always looks better than the iPlayer live stream

Re: Glass as a second TV?

@TheHeroicHulk Why not? BT Sport Ultimate, Youtube 4k, Netflix, Amazon Prime all seem to manage 4K HDR streaming content

Re: Glass as a second TV?

Have you ever watched bbc live via their stream. It's not good.

It's a bit difficult comparing Sky Q with a system you have not tried yet, we will have to wait and see how good it is

Really?  Some 'live' channels on Q are squeezed down to the point of illegibility to save on satellite transmission cost.

Re: Glass as a second TV?

@TheHeroicHulk Yes thats down to BBC and the compression methods they use. Have you ever watched BT Sport, or Amazon Prime live sport in 4K via their apps.

Re: Glass as a second TV?

Yes I have and they look great but they don't help me watch bbc, itv etc.
