Faulty sky box

I'm having an issue where no matter what button I press the channel skips down one channel. I've done all resets and reboots and updates of the box. Any suggestions?

Do you have anything sitting on top of the Sky box? if so make sure its not resting on top of the buttons.

If not have you tried taking the batteries out of the remote, using the buttons on the box, to see if it still happens
