Yes, it's a pity about the ongoing audio issues - apparently originating from Astra - the HDR quality is superb though.

BTW does anyone know how to change a profile here ? My Pioneer plasma has been replaced by a Panasonic OLED since February - J can't seem to see where to change it here 🙂

I've just watched the Olympic mens road race. No idea that sky was broadcasting anything in HDR, the quality on my 55CX is stunning, but, no commentary! **bleep**? There's audio as I can hear the crowd, bikes, etc etc, but no commentary. The HD channel is fine, but obviously missing the picture quality.

It's great that a lot of Netflix and Prime is UHD HDR and that's fabulous. Just wish I'd bought a (much) bigger TV now!

@Bernard23  There seems to be a few issues with the live commentary on all of Europsort's 4K feeds not just the English version via Sky Q.

I've just flicked through the eurosport 4 to 9, the women's football audio is mixed with some cycling feed. It's all a bit flaky. The hdr feed for the mens cycling is now just a helicopter flying round, the HD channel is doing something else.

It's ashame, because the pic quality out of the box is stunning.

Spent quite a bit of time enjoying the UHD HDR coverage today, the picture has been excellent, sound and EPG data less so.

I make the UHD HDR feed roughly 15 - 20 seconds behind the HD one. Hopefully as this type of broadcast becomes more normal, technology will improve and bring that down further, but it is a good start. 😀

The commentary seems to be fixed on the 4K channel now. 

But they now have a long box at the bottom of the screen with a long apology about the lack of commentry that's covering up the info about the event and making it harder to follow what's going on.

@stereohaven  Is it really a good start?  I'm not sure I agree.  UHD has been around in the UK for 6 years now, and just about every tv you can buy supports it.  I am afraid I am finding it all a bit of a mess as far as the Olympics are concerned.

It seems we have the choice of iPlayer where you can't prerecord shows, or Eurosport.

As my wife loves the swimming I prerecorded the live swimming during the early hours in UHD only to find in one case it was cycling, and the other which was actually swimming had no commentary.

Sure I would have liked broadcast UHD HDR that didn't rely on a broadband speed I don't have years ago, but it's here now and I like what I see picture quality wise.

I concurred with you in my post about all the EPG issues, they are a real pain. 

I see it as a start because we know from other posts on this forum (and others), that after the Olympics we will get Premier League in UHD HDR from the 13th August.

Once the football is established, more sport will follow. F1 tested UHD HDR at the British Grand Prix and I'm pretty sure we will see some cricket as well.

What I don't think we will see any time soon is live broadcast channels of movie, entertainment or documentary content in UHD HDR.

It reminds me of the long drawn out wait for channels to move from SD to HD and there are still plenty that haven't even bothered to do that!

A lot of countries in Europe now have dedicated UHD channels.  Yet, in the UK, we have none. With just the option of pop up channels on red button or download.  It is ridiculous. Even Poland have Eurosport4K standalone channel, which just began with the Tokyo Olympics.
