@Skyuser1981 That's correct but copy and paste, or on a mobile with predictive text makes it quite easy. Took me about 20 minutes to go through the whole A - Z list.

Re: Epgservices sky never miss

I set a reminder for fear the walking dead on Amazon Prime but the whole interface seems clunky! with Sky never miss you just clicked on a plus sign! i could do about ten shows in ten seconds!

@oj01  I thought I was the fastest so far with 50 minutes to complete it, looks like you beat me, but did you do 1 - 9 as well? 🤔

How safe is it?  Am worried that by signing up for a website I know nothing about might lead to my computer being hacked....probably being silly, but am nervous....I will keep an eye on it though and when it is up and running will have another look!  Thanks!

@Carrrie  Only time will tell how safe it is, but I can't really see how they would benefit from scamming us unless they start asking for donations or some kind of subscription, which I haven't seen yet.

  Did someone say subscription?

Had an email a few minutes ago from the new NM site, this is what it says:

This week we launched our new website so that you can follow our progress.

You will see that we have an ambition to provide a built for purpose, quick and reliable Never Miss service.

As we said in our first email update, data is the cornerstone of this endeavour.

However, data is expensive! and we need to find a way to cover these costs in order to maintain a viable service.

It's crunch time!
The analysis we have done shows that an application such as this will not have sufficient foot-fall to fund itself via ads, even if we wanted to do so.

So that really only leaves us with the subscription option.

We are at one of those go-no-go decision points, so please visit our survey below, which has just one important question, and help us decide.
Please answer one key question.
I've checked the survey, this is what they want to know:

We want to offer our service at a fair price while covering the cost of data and infrastructure.

  • Assuming we provide some level of free trial up-front, would you pay £2 per month for a replacement Never Miss service? *

@Anonymous  I've just had the same email about subscriptions and personally I wouldn't feel comfortable giving my payment details directly to them from launch, so I suggested I may be willing to pay if they are able to provide the service as an app with in app purchases enabled, so we will see want happens

Not a chance I'm paying £2 a month. Geektowns service will do for me.

Re: Epgservices sky never miss

I've had the very same email, an no i will not be paying £2 a month, specially as I have no idea of the quality of the service they will provide. I'm a suspicious type and I worry that the £2 will not be the final amount.

I have unsubscribed, i may take a look if they ever get a site up and running.

I would not pay a subscription for an unknown quality service, they would have to give a substantial free trial period for me to be able to assess if it was worth it.

I don't think it will take off.

Re: Epgservices sky never miss

I do not want to start a discussion on the new Sky Q programme/film layout on this thread, as I'm sure that'll be on another thread, but, rather than spend loads of money (I imagine) on the new layout (Recordings layout is particularly awkward compared to what it was previously), the money could've been spent on keeping Never Miss running. Why spend money on what appears to be no real improvement when keeping something running that subscribers like is an option?

I suspect it was not a finance-related problem which led to its demise.

I suspect you are right;I don't think it will get a lot of subscribers without the ability to assess the service so I guess it won't take off either.

Re: Epgservices sky never miss

Can someone explain to me how you add a quote from a previous thread on here. When I select reply to a particular person's post, I just get an empty reply box.

Cheers.

The simple answer is to use the quote button which looks like two commas "

However it's not obvious on some devices  where you have to press the three dots (. . .)  first and missing completely on some devices.
