Re: Epgservices sky never miss

I would have thought never miss would have given sky some useful insight into what series an films customers were interested in.  This could have been a good source for this insite, as I believe they don't recieve details of what you have actually watched.  Although, I'm sure they have that for downloaded content.

I see that Virgin's TiVo has an on box function called Wish Lists with which you search or program to auto-record, based on keyword, title, actor, director, or category.

Assuming it works as suggested, it sounds like a better solution than Nevermiss, so unless Sky are looking to quickly provide a similar function on the SkyQ box, it may just be another reason to reconsider our options.

Tivo hold patents for quite a few features on their boxes (including wish lists) so Sky are unable to incorporate similar functions without  an appropriate payment to TiVo.

Re: Epgservices sky never miss

I am so frustrated by this unanounced dropping of a service I relied on.

I had many, many series saved in Never Miss, far more than I can remember.

The fact they did not even give us a chance to download our lists adds insult to injury.

Very poor and I am quite angry.

Re: Epgservices sky never miss

The weird thing for me is that, having been a Sky customer since 2002 with no breaks, I only found out about Never Miss a month before it was scrapped. I spent ages selecting all the series we watch, adding series where we are missing earlier episodes (where the box hasn't recorded for some reason and also episodes were deleted by the Q box when it got full whilst we were away over Xmas).

I have started using Geektown (also new to me) but not sure of they alert when old series are shown. Will have to wait and see.

Re: Epgservices sky never miss

If you try netflix then you will find their interface is far better and they will inform you when a new series is on, and they also monitor what users search for. BRING BACK SKY NEVER MISS

Re: Epgservices sky never miss

I accept that this may be the case, but my point remains. If Sky are not planning something along these lines ASAP for SkyQ/Sky+, it's all the more reason for them to have retained Nevermiss.

@Greektown just had my first reminder email from you thanks for that for Latest/Next UK TV Air Date: 26 July 2020 at 8:00 pm. But it's only 8.07.20 today be great if I could get the reminder 6 days before program aired so I can put on record.

Use the info to put an entry on an electronic calendar, most if not all calendars have an option to sent an email to you using various triggers, one should be a number of days before an event

@Totalwar2  Geektown ( not greektown ) will not be giving reminders exactly 6 days before the air date, they don't work that way. Thought you could be grateful you're getting a reminder at all. Can't you leave the reminder in your inbox until you need it?  Could you set up a folder in your email account labelled Geektown & move the emails to there? Or do what @Annie+UK suggested?

Sorry for the misspelling and did thank you if you read my last post.I was just asking maybe 7 days and I sure you asked us this in one of your posts.it then makes it easy to setup series  record if it over 7 days you can't put it in.If you can't do do it it's ok have find something else.
