I doubt that very much. I doubt there were dedicated staff running Never Miss and I'm not aware of any redundancies as there is no need under the furlough scheme.
I agree with @Mark39 in that the speed with which it went is probably key, maybe something legal. Although, what that could be I can't think.
As Annie said earlier, the vague reason we were given made no sense at all really.
So far, I've found nothing better than Geektown as a site for accurately reporting series start dates in the UK (I used NM for series a lot more than movies), if only they had a notification system, which I have suggested to them.

Re: Epgservices sky never miss
My guess is that the programme information was copyright and Sky didn't pay to use it.

I doubt its redundancy as this service could be maintained remotely.

That's what I was thinking too. Although, surely the same info appears on the Sky EPG.

@oj01 Regarding geektown if you subscribe to their blog via email they do send out notifications with return dates for series's, ok you might not be interested in every show but at least you'll know when the one's you are interested in are back on.

@SKY1992bf Thanks for that, I'd never scrolled down that far to see it 👍

Re: Epgservices sky never miss
@SKY1992bf with Geektown, is there not a way to type in a show you like and add it to favorites or something?ptherwise how do you know what is going on in each show without searching each time?
My set up;
Sky Q - full package with 2TB HDR box & 4 mini boxes, all hardwired by ethernet.
Sky Superfast Broadband.
Panasonic 50" 4K TV.
Panasonic 4k Bluray Player.
Sonos 5.1 Surround Sound System.

Re: Epgservices sky never miss
I would be very surprised if it was an Copyright issue . Then if that was the case then the likes of the TV Times etal would also have issues

Re: Epgservices sky never miss
@whiteonline No their isn't currently a search facility on geektown but each show has it's own page on the site and the start dates are added and change manually by the people that run it using information from a large range of sources (official listings, news reports, press releases, social media, and it's user community who post comments for the team whenever they see/hear anything) as an example S6 of NCIS: New Orleans was advertised for a July 17th start date on fox at the end of the final episode of S17 of the main NCIS show when checking the New Orleans page I noticed it hadn't been updated so I posted a comment for team and within 48 hours the page was updated and that's how it works and when a show has a return date notifications are sent via email if you subscribe to the blog via email

Re: Epgservices sky never miss
Have used Never Miss for years and hadn't realised it had disappeared until I went onto my saved webpage to add a new series to my list. Found this thread when checking where the page had gone. Like everyone else I'm very disappointed in its cancellation, the least Sky could have done was a 'heads up' email to those of us who used this service.

Thanks @Annie+UK .
Typically, you can only complain by phone (when they've asked us to not call in unless we are a venerable person) or to write in using snail mail. I wonder why they don’t except email complaints, they'd be inundated that’s why.

Re: Epgservices sky never miss
@SKY1992bf ah ok thanks.
i've searched everywhere the last 48 hours since finingout about NM, and can't find anything that can replace it, so this is a real problem that Sky have given it's customers.
I guess i will have to make a note of all my tv shows/films on my tablet somewhere, and use Geektown referring to my list.

Re: Epgservices sky never miss
Absolute disgrace, for those of us that used this service all the time we now get the pathetic replacement service in TV guide which isn't worth the effort.
Again another cut to a service which keeps getting more expensive with less benefits!
I emailed the CEO but no doubt I'll just be ignored like everyone else.
In case you feel like wasting your time emailing him too here's his email (remove the spaces I added to pass the Sky block)...

Re: Epgservices sky never miss
@whiteonline and @oj01 re geektown it's worth noting that although the start date of a series always gets updated on the shows page, should the broadcasters change a start date you will only receive an email notification for the first published start date and not any subsequent changes so be mindful of that.
the way I do it is when I get a notification I put it in my calendar and 7 days out from broadcast check the epg to make sure it's still on if it's not I go back to the show page to get the updated start date.
a example is S.W.A.T it was originally due to start S3 on Sunday 31st May when I checked epg 7 days out it wasn't on so checked the shows page and found it had changed to June 7th checked the epg last night and it wasn't on again so went back to the page and the date has changed again to 14th June.
So geektown is not a bulletproof site but it does a job if you can find away to use for your needs
