Re: Epgservices sky never miss

Okay......on thinking about it, if it is a one-off small subscription and it does actually let me know when series are up and coming I will pay - but it has to prove itself first!

@Carrrie  From what I gather it won't be a one-off charge. They're thinking of doing a free trial, don't know how long for, after that a monthly charge, maybe £2.

Hi 02cassie

Thank you for your text. You are among a few other people who have suggested "Geektown" to me. I will have a look and see what they are all about.

Re: Epgservices sky never miss

In line with the posts above, I would recommend geek town's never miss. It's not a direct replacement, but at least you do get reminded of new series coming up (and it's free).

As for Sky, they simply don't seem to care that the service was removed and haven't offered a replacement. The new sky q UI (which is horrible, but that's well covered in other threads) was a great opportunity to put some kind of Never Miss functionality onto the box. Sky decided not to bother.

On top of dodgy broadband, standard definition downloads on sky go and the lack of 4k Disney+ (I don't have HLG) it's not the best experience of a supposed premium service.

What has happened to Never Miss'

So i used to always use the never miss section, to search for movies or series and then set a reminder, but now ive gone to it to have a browse etc, and its disappeared!

What do i do now? and why has sky done away with it?

@Lawz82 I've added your post to the existing thread where this has been widely discussed

Re: What has happened to Never Miss'

Sky got rid of it.Without any warning, consultation, consideration, proper replacement or indeed any kind of explanation. Hubris in the extreme. Loads of posts on here complaining about it, so happy reading!

Re: What has happened to Never Miss'

No one knows......they just took it off without letting their customers know.   I have been in touch with customer services, the CEO and talked to the dozens of people on this community forum, and I was told by the customer services man, that Sky had taken it off and they would not be replacing it!

Re: Epgservices sky never miss

@GreenDragon sorry for delay...yes. I have used Geektown for years to find out what's coming up within next few months. Fab website and improves more and more. They actually introduced Never Miss when people asked them if they could because of what Sky have done...unlike Sky Geektown listen to their followers!!!

Re: Epgservices sky never miss

@Midiless  As promised in my earlier post the responses I have received from "Sky" after contact with Customer Services and the CEO are as follows:

Filled in the web complaints form which had a disclaimer about service priorities for shielding groups. They are obviously adhering to their prioritisation as being 70+ I received a prompt phone call from a very pleasant gentleman (unfortunatley can't recall his name) who said he had been asked by his manager to contact me about this issue.  We had a very lenghthy discussion about the cessation of  Never Miss and he was totally onboard with the issues raised.  He himself expressed the same issues and the lack of a viable alternative.  He said that his next action would be to feed back to his manager the issues discussed.

A few days later I received an email from CEO office saying they were contacting me because of my email but on checking my account details realised that I had already been contacted by Customer Services and the issue discussed.

With respect to Sky's "Never Miss Out"  statement that:

"There's an even better way to know when new series begin or return from a break ....

> On Sky Q simply select Home and then TV Guide, and scroll up to New Series to find the shows recommended for you".

I have investigated this "solution" since my previous post and it it is nowhere near a comparable alternative.  There are two show that we discovered were returning.  The series link for neither picked them up.  The first was not shown in "New Series" but the second was BUT one has to physically go into New Series on a regular (daily)  basis and search through the recommendations - no automation, time consuming and not reliable.  Also no idea where the recomendations come from as most were of no interest.  Maybe an advertising tool by Sky?

Bottom line is fill out a web Sky Complaints form and also email the CEO* and inundate the organisation.  After all the forums are really only preaching to the converted!

* Forum will not allow name and email details -> Google!
