Re: Epgservices sky never miss

Without the Never Miss option, it will mean that I will be missing a lot and therefore watching a lot less on Sky.  Which means the value reduces and means that I am now looking around at other services.

Couldn't agree more. Without Never Miss, on which I was totally dependent, my planner is virtually empty.

So annoying loved using it to tell me when old films were coming on

Re: Epgservices sky never miss

On the plus side, time has shown that a series which finished a while back that was on series link, automatically appeared on the planner when the next series started some time later.

Re: Epgservices sky never miss

However, need to check those automatic entries in the schedule, as sometimes it manages to get 3 programmes overlapping,

Which doesn't cause a clash until record time, when you may lose one of your own scheduled programmes.

Just another SKY bug.

@MissedAgain

Annoyingly with Sky Q it doesn't ever tell you that you have too many programmes selected if it automatically series links a new series at the same time you already have the max number of series recording. You only find out when you go to play and,it says failed. I have to check everything once a week to make sure it all recorded ok in case I need to find, something on catch up or on demand.

Re: Epgservices sky never miss

Sky is just getting worse and worse, and for more and more money too! Not only am I seriously miffed at Sky Never Miss being removed, now I hear that a series I have just finished watching (For Life) is going to come out on Sky Go when season 2 is finally released here in the UK. I have to wonder just why it is that I pay all I do for Sky's failing service. If something is going to be on Sky Go, then put it on Sky itself as well, because that is what I pay for!

That sounds odd so where did you read about this happening ?

@garyosborn Considering that Sky Go shows what's on Sky channels, I find this very difficult to believe.

Re: Epgservices sky never miss

I think I found the relevant article.

http://www.express.co.uk/showbiz/tv-radio/1375711/How-to-watch-For-Life-season-2-online-series-evg/a...

(never consider the Express for accurate reporting of anything).

I think that it just means it will be streamed rather than transmitted, so it will probably appear on Sky's On Demand service.

The article mostly seems to be discussing streamed services which is why they mention that it will be on Sky Go which it will be as well as being available via our Sky boxes.

Re: Epgservices sky never miss

Thanks for everyone's feedback, I don't really know how to highlight each of you etc., and I can't even read your comments while I'm writing this. Am a bit of a technofobe too, and all this stuff is getting way beyond me. All I want to do is watch the programmes I like, on a platform I play a blooming fortune for, and not spend forever trying to find where they are either. That's why I thought Sky Never Miss was excellent. It had its flaws, but then so do I, one of which is having absolutely no memory (due to my ageing years and a medical condition). All moaning aside though, if you like lawyer based progs, and hopefully one that won't get cut like all the others because there's no gratuitous violence etc., then this is worth a watch, and it has that violent aspect in it - after all, it is based in a prison. Don't get me wrong, I like violent stuff too, but I like some variation on that theme as well.

I agree about the Express that's for sure, but here's the part I got miffed at (it was that article, thanks):

'Season one of For Life is airing on Sky Witness in Britain, so it will be some time before the second outing makes it way to UK shores.

However, when it does start screening in the UK, it will be available to watch online on streaming platform NOW TV as well as Sky Go for Sky customers'.

At the time of reading I just thought, "why can't it just be on Sky Witness like the 1st season?". Listening to your feedback though, I guess I'll just have to wait and see if the Express is wrong, as it is with too many things.

Appreciate your help and hope it's shown where it should be. Thanks again.

Re: Epgservices sky never miss

I totally agree garyosborn, there are so many things avertised outside of our sky package.  I am like you, I want my programmes to be on channels which I can look at all in one place, but everything seems so disjointed now.  I may as well arrange these services myself and get cashback or discounts for doing so.

Although Never Miss used to send me info about films I wanted to watch on channels I didn't have, the rest was user friendly and it worked!

Bring back Never Miss!

For some of us it's a deal-breaker!  Especially when I have just been sent a letter about my great discounts to renew my services, then two days later a price hike!

Re: Epgservices sky never miss

Wow, I have to say that I'm surprised that the system has allowed me to log in and post on this very sore subject. I say that because I ended my Sky subscription in February 2021 after many many years. I threatened to do this when they got rid of Never Miss and I have been true to my word. I bitterly complained at the time but wasn't listened to. My Sky planner became emptier and emptier as the months passed until it dwindled to zero content. I simply couldn't find the stuff that I wanted to watch!

Hopefully the post button will work! A Sky Never Miss Martyr!

Re: Epgservices sky never miss

I agree. I am very close to dropping Sky.

1.  Throwing away Never Miss without even notifying its users, let alone asking our opinion.

2.  No aparent action / official acceptance that there is a major sound dropout issue with Sky Q boxes.

3.  With the backdrop of such poor service, they still decide to increase their prices during a pandemic where streaming services (other than sport obviously) must be doing so well.
