Re: Epgservices sky never miss

This is the second time this year that Sky have failed in their communication causing me frustration, annoyance and disappointment ( their stronger equivalents actually!).

Really relied on Never Miss from the moment it appeared (years!) now it is GONE!*! Only looked at it this morning and now not there! Really not sure that Sky have ANY regard for their customers or their retention for that matter.

How can such a simple service warrent removal - the EPG is already existing (and as far as I know will not be removed (used else where)) and the service software is so basic, not changed since start, it could be managed by an intern. SO cost cannot be a big factor, more likely removed cos it also services non-Sky future programming (e.g. BBC, ITV and so on).

Hang your heads in shame SKY and BRING IT BACK (at least so folk can get their lists).

I am so annoyed that the Never Miss service has disappeared.  It is ridiculous that Sky want us to search for programs all the time, rather than add them to Never Miss and forgot about until we got an email.  Let us not forget that it doesn't include an old series we missed which is being repeated, so is far from "an even better way"

I don't find it helpful that the Oricle keeps saying that the reasons for removing this service is pathetic, but it being a big secret.  Also that they were told and had a chance to check their list before it was taken away.

I keep getting emails telling me I am a VIP and how valued I am, well I don't feel valued now.

Bring back Never Miss

I've said this once so how can I keep saying it 👎🏻🙁 If sky wanted everyone to know the reason they would post it on the forum, anyhow the TV Time app mention above looks promising

I have to agree with that.

Unfortunately, Oracles are bound by NDA's, so it's not their fault that they couldn't tell us.

(Sky could have though)

Re the TV Time App - had a look at it, but not convinced that it works

@Annie+UK  perhaps Sky will give the reason in the news section.

I very much doubt they will

Re: Epgservices sky never miss

It's ridiculous to remove this, I use it to find programs to watch that I would never hear about any other way.

if I don't find them then I won't watch tv as much and will start questioning why I pay for Sky.

not a good decision for them.

I've found JustWatch very helpful. You can filter by the on demand/subscription services you get and see what's been added every day. There are several other ways to use it, watchlists, etc., but I found checking this daily worked best for me.

Re: Never Miss

Its a stupid decision. So now you can only get on TV and Hot Picks which is useless and has the bare minimum

@Windex  Interesting but it seems to only be streaming services, it is live broadcasts that I need.

Re: Epgservices sky never miss

@bob1234 , you are right - however, you can add SkyGo (I don't because we don't have Sky anymore), Channel 4, Channel 5, ITV, UKTV, BBC, etc - so, while it won't tell you when it's live - it will tell you if its OnDemand. I have a smart TV with apps and I can't believe I ever had a regular TV contract - I've more than made up for the cost of my OLED TV in just one year. But it wouldn't be helpful if I was just looking for a listing that let me know something was playing so that I could watch it at that time.

Re: Epgservices sky never miss

For me this is another nail in the SKY coffin, not many more nails needed before i finally put sky to rest and  go elsewhere. They really show very little respect or loyalty to their customers.

Sky Nevermiss

Hi

Has the Sky Nevermiss website stopped operating

When I go to the website and log in, theres now just a single page saying I should just use the search button on Sky Q (or HD)

Is this a temporary thing, or permanent.

If permanent, what has happened to all the shows and films I had set up in Nevermiss to email me when they are on?

Thanks

The Sky Never Miss service has been permanently withdrawn, I'm afraid. See this thread: https://helpforum.sky.com/t5/Websites/Epgservices-sky-never-miss/td-p/3307168/jump-to/first-unread-m...

Details you had set up of films and shows of interest will be lost, unfortunately.

Re: Epgservices sky never miss

Same here, if it wasn't for the current climate it would definitely be the straw that broke the camel's back. They have made so many poor decisions over the years that have lost them goodwill for "chicken feed" earnings/losses...

And as somebody suggested before, I think it has to do with getting, or trying to get more money from buy/rent. And it won't work in the long run.

Same as ending up dropping the public broadcasters in foreign languages because they did not agree to Sky's fees when they then solf them as a service to the consumer. How many people moved to freeview Iptv alternatives? Same here with niche film services. In a fragmentary market Sky Never Miss was one of their USPs.

Re: Epgservices sky never miss

The "new improved" service is nothing like the old one.  I relied on this to notify me when favourite programmes were starting/resuming.

Sky can't keep removing features and content and hiking prices. Thery're making the decision  to move elswhere easy.  I've just looked through my planner and there are no scheduled recordingd I can't get on freeview.  Our first choice to find something to watch now tends to be netflix.  And they do HDR too, where is this from sky?

The only things keeping me with sky were never miss & my leagacy F1 entitlement.  I'm really questioning keeping it now after being a customer for over 20 years.
