I believe it's Highlander II: The Quickening which is most notorious for having two very different  edits, to the extent that they are essentially not the same movie at all but get broadcast using the one title.

With Highlander (unless I am wrong and it is II), they edited the big fight scene.That spoiled the move.

Yes it is Highlander that I was thinking of. You can read about the mess that ws made of this movie.
