Download failed - No Subscription

Hey - has anyone had the issue with "Dowload Fail - No Subscription" resolved? 
We got Sky Q in Feb and it has never worked properly. I am sick of ringing and filling in forms with what make and model my WiFi and tv are.

We have 3 internet and it works perfect - I work from home and have no experienced any issues.

It's so strange as we have a PS5 and the on demand and catch tv works perfect on the PS5 (which is connected to the 3 WiFi) it's just the sky Q box it won't work on?

I've rang 3 and they have rang test and assured me there is no issue and we have strong signal which makes sense as on other device has any issues just the Sky Q box - we have a smart tv and stream Netflix, Amazon Prime etc and no issues with buffering.

It's becoming very frustrating so I am just wondering has anyone experienced this and resolved?

Hi @Jess+Ogrin 

Are you trying to Download HD content without the Q HD Subscription pack.

Sky Signature includes BoxSets and Entertainment channels only in SD as standard.
Only free to air channels such as BBC, ITV etc are in HD. The Q HD pack is required for all other Sky Signature HD content, including Catch Up in HD, On Demand in HD and BoxSets in HD
If you do not have the Optional HD pack you need to change the Download to SD in All Formats.
So that you do not need to do this every time it’s best to change your Download preference to SD in Home - Settings - Setup - Preferences.

Then if you want to download any HD content from free to air channels (BBCHD ,ITVHD etc) you can select HD in the All formats tab of the content . This will change the format for that particular download only but still leave your format to SD in preferences.

 

If this isn't the issue there are reports of problems with some internet providers.

i contacted Sky to make sure we have to correct package and we do. 
we have HD and Ultra HD - tried downloading is SD and HD but no luck.

my internet provider ran reports and we have great coverage.

it's so strange because catch up TV works on the PS5 which is using the same internet as the Sky Q box.

I have had 9 calls to sky and still no update. It's very annoying and we are paying for a service we want to use but they cannot provide

Its nothing to do with your package.

 

You are using a Broadband over 4G service and there are issues accessing on demand content using such services particularly in Ireland. They should have known that when you called .

 

until Sky and 3 sort it out between them there is little you can do except perhaps use a VPN

Hi , I have just started to experience this issue recording catch up tv , mainly channel 4 , itv 2 and showcase   , my router is a relatively new vodaphone 1 , as to solutions , I haven't a clue as everything else works fine , PlayStation 4 , Xbox one ,  Seems to be the Sky software then me thinks . but ringing Sky would put me off doing anything about it as I don't watch much TV , mainly my daughter is the main consumer of c#ap.
