Diamond VIP but charged for sky go extra

Hi .Two questions if I may please . Recently upgraded to Sky Q  after 17 years with sky .   They gave me  Diamond VIP  .  I didnt need multiroom  which we had been having, so cancelled that .   My new bill I see  includes a full price charge for  sky go extra £5  a mth . I have  now recently read that  with VIP package,  it should be free  , but also read you need multiroom as well to get it free.  Which is correct please  , free by virtue of VIP alone , or needing multi room too?

Im not clear on the difference between  Sky go and sky go extra either  so I dont know what I need.  All I want  apart from normal live watching,  is  to tape the odd   thing to play back ,   or    catch up/recall   a programme I find  Ive missed   ---   to watch on my usual TV .   Will just 'sky go' do that for me at no extra charge?    Would  Sky go extra  just mean I could do the above  but on  different devices  and  maybe away from home?   I have tried reading the blurb about it all , but  still not clear if anyone can help please?

There are a few ways to get Sky Go Extra for free and they are:

As a Multiscreen customer

As a free reward via Sky VIP

So I would install the MySky app on a mobile or iPad, activate the VIP program and see if it then offers you it for free, if it does you can calim it. If not then give Sky a call to see what they say.

Sky Go Extra is required to download programs to the app instead of just streaming them. So if you just want to live TV, set recordings to your Sky box and stream catchup content (and not download) then you would not need Sky Go Extra.

Re: Diamond VIP but charged for sky go extra

Thank you !    It doesnt seem to be offered to me under rewards so I guess its not automatically free with rewards,  they must  offer different rewards to different people  I suppose   From what you say  , I might not need it if I  dont downloa d .

Give Sky a call as they should be able to activate this for you I would have thought.
