Damaged Satellite

Our TV was damaged in a storm last week and we've had to replace it. It now looks like the same has happened to the Sky Box and/or satellite dish. The box switches on and seem to be recording things we had set up but the tv cannot find the box.

First and obvious question is have you set the TV input to the correct HDMI to which the Sky box is connected?

Hi @Kuga+Man

Try setting the Q box to standard resolution.

You can do this with the Q box on with green led press

Home 1 0 8 0 Home

on the Q remote control.

This will reset the Q box to 1080i resolution

Re: Damaged Satellite

We don't have a Q box. We've managed to contact Sky and they are coming out to check the dish and upgrade the box. Thank you.

Odd that we should jump to assumptions given this forum is for Sky Q. 🤔
