Compatibility of TV with Q mini box

Hello, can anyone tell me whether the 32" Samsung QLED Frame TV is compatible with the sky q mini box? There are conflicting views around. Thanks.

hi @Sheppardess the mini boxes don;t require very high spec TVs so I would expect them to be compatible with most TVs.

I am afraid I don't know specifically - perhaps you quote a model number so we can look up specifications etc.

I am guessing being a 32" TV it might only be able to use the lower resolutions as many are not Full HD but HD ready

Are you able to give any info on the reports of incompatibility - i.e. what problems people have had ?

Edit SKy Minis actually have an analogue out (composite video)  feed should your TV support that

Re: Compatibility of TV with Q mini box

Thanks -the model number I'm looking at is QE32LS03TC. It has two hdmi ports, no Ethernet connection, and requires a Samsung mini connect box. But with the two hdmi ports I thought that would be sufficient? The problems are a bit non-specific.

@Sheppardess if it's full HD then there should be no problem with it

HI @Sheppardess maybe this discussion shed some light on the use of the connect box:

Re: Compatibility of TV with Q mini box

Thanks @nigea99 and @Laing1

That's helpful, looks as if the connect box might be the issue. Solution, as usual, to switch off and on again! I may rethink the new tv. Thanks again.

hi @Sheppardess difficult to tell how awkward.

At least now there are a few Full HD 32" Tvs around - don't be tempted to go for a HD ready one

When I bought my 32" to replace my bedroom TV just before the last Olympics there were only a couple (if that ) Full HD 32" Tvs at that time - I am so glad I held out for the Full HD Sony I got, as 5 years on I use it very successfully with a SKY mini and a Firestick (Not sure if Sony currently do a full HD in that size though)
