Re: Code PFE 9001-IH

On another note, for the last two days, when I've tried to watch 'This Morning' live on the app, it starts downloading Coronation Street to my Sky Q box!

Re: Code PFE 9001-IH

well, I've done the software update.

I can connect to my box, but still get this same error message when trying to watch recordings.

Downloading a program to my PC contstantly fails.

utter garbage

Re: Code PFE 9001-IH

And now, there;s no option to watch a program live (the paly arrow), just an option to download it !

Posted by a Superuser, not a Sky employee. Find out more

Have you tried a complete uninstall of the app and the hidden files and folders it uses as per this:

Uninstall the app. Go to 'C:\Users\[your user name]\AppData\Roaming (ensure hidden files/folders are visible) and delete the following folders:

Sky
Sky Go

And if it is present the Cisco folder is App\Data\LocalLow. Empty your recycle bin.

Reboot your PC and then download and install the Sky Go app again.

Re: Code PFE 9001-IH

Didn't work for me. The idea of calling up Sky to try and sort this problem out fills me with dread as I've wasted many hours of my life on the phone to them recently - every phone call takes a minimum of 40 minutes and still I have problems with both the set up and service. Code PFE 9001-IH had only just occurred whilst trying to play a particular episode of the series I'm watching. Tried uninstalling & reinstalling but no joy.

Re: Code PFE 9001-IH

I had the PFE-9001-IH error on a Windows 10 pc, Tried uninstall/re-install and still the same error code.

Did the reactivate the skygo app on the main SKy Q box but still the same.

Now this worked for me........... Hold the shift button before you click the Shutdown button on Windows 10, This makes Windows shutdown properly and not just Hibernate. Left it a minute after the fans stopped before turning it back on, opened the SkyGo app and BOOM all working ok.

I hope this helps/works for someone else

Re: Code PFE 9001-IH

Spent most of the afternoon talking to Sky experts but the PFE 9001 error persist on iMac running Mojave. Cleared all the data I could find and everytime I re-install the app it shows progs I should watch, so chose one, sometimes and ad appears, then that spinning circle then the dreaded code.  Works fine on all my ipads and an older iMac.  Exhausted.

Re: Code PFE 9001-IH

I saw the initial advice that advised it was something to do with the app connecting to the SkyQ box, so in the settings menu of the app (bottom of the menu on the left) I turned off the connection and it has worked fine since.

Re: Code PFE 9001-IH

Haven't got a Q box so can't perform that.  Adverts work wonderful but still no viewing on iMac Mojave 10.14.6 message PFE 9001.  App works fine on all ipads and an older iMac running High Sierra.  Don't think it will ever work on the desktop sadly.

Re: Code PFE 9001-IH

Mine was working great, until I updated to the latest version. I done a clean install, and manually deleted the Sky folders, but still I received this error. The fix for me was to go to settings and disconnect from sky q box.

Re: Code PFE 9001-IH

had this issue and  turning off box in setting worked for me. one thing I noticed is an improved image.  so maybe it's something to do with a bad connection?
