Have been trying for weeks to connect my sky+ box to my internet after haing internet issues repaired.
Saw the below steps on a sky community post and tried them but still nothing.
1. Turn off both your Sky box and your router at the plug
2. Disconnect the mini connector
3. Restart your router after 30 seconds and wait another 4 minutes minimum before restarting your Sky box
4. Wait until your Sky box has fully initialised and you have access to the menus
5. Plug the mini connector back in and see if it will then connect.
Has anyone got any other suggestions?

My sky boxes are one floor higher and one floor lower than my broadband router and I still have them wired with Ethernet, you can use cables upto 100m so unless you live in a huge mansion you should be able to get a wire between the two devices

not quite a mansion but i'm talking oppostite ends of my building and connection via a cable would mean a cable in front of doorways etc to connect the 2 causing a trip hazard and major inconvience

I routed our cables around the door frames so zero tripping hazards, sounds like your are making excuses to save yourself a little work 😞

Excuses?
I'm looking for a solution to an equipment problem from a sky employee not a keyboard warrior with nothing better to do with their time

Yes which also commonly get responses from sky employees monitoring them.
I acknowledged your solution and noted it wasn't suitable for me for several reasons yet you're still going on.
