Cancelling

Just thought I'd let you know I've cancelled my direct debit. I've tried over and over to cancel my bt sport package and am unable to get through, this is supposed to be a monthly rolling contract and conveniently took minutes to set up. Hopefully you will contact me when you don't get paid for the rest of my package

@rich1all  Cancelling your dd is the worst thing you can do as you are now in breach of contract and sky will just restrict your services full stop until you pay and restore payment method

this is a customer helps customer forum only and your not talking directly to sky and no one will contact you because of your post here

use the contact details on this link just click on I need more help

@rich1all you aren't talking to Sky here. We are fellow customers. Cancelling you DD is likely to cause you problems in that Sky won't answer your calls until any outstanding balance is paid and you have set up a continuous payment method. My advice ~ ring Sky before your next payment is due.

@rich1all  Your not out of contract unless you give 31 days notice to cancel  only the minimum term of contract expires

so I would contact sky before your service is restricted because once they are you won't be able to contact Sky or even cancel without clearing any outstanding payment and setup a new continuous payment method

as already explained sky won't contact you at all they will just restrict you and chase payment which could ultimately be sent to debt collectors

The phone lines open at 7am and are apparently quieter after 9pm so if you can try around these times. There is also a messaging service as you can see via the Yes button at the bottom of this page:

https://www.sky.com/help/articles/cancel-sky-tv

So select "Yes I still need help".

@rich1all How many times have you tried to ring? Over how long a period? Other posters have suggested the best time to ring is 8ish in the morning. Try ringing from a phone not connected to your account or by dialling 141 before the number. You need to contact Sky. This won't go away and you'll have to return your loaned equipment anyway.
