@Andyh57

Wire them up with ethernet cable. They will be much more reliable.

Yes two Sky Q boosters can be daisy chained together where necessar. A Sky Engineer would make a decision on whether that is necessary.

Hi @Andyh57  You can use two SKYQ wifi boosters if needed to connect your Mini boxes to the main SKYQ box!

Re: Can you connect 2 Sky Q boosters together to boost signal to sky q mini boxes around the house

So can I simply put one booster in my house and one booster in my Garden Room 40m away, connect them together with Ethernet, and extend a mini box WiFi mesh?

@Suffolk+Smuggler  In theory so long as Sky is your broadband provider then yes, however it is probably not the most efficient way of doing it.

Thanks, what I should have said is directly together back to back.  I appreciate this may not the best way but my challenge is hardwiring all my Sky gear together in the house.  Can you mix hardwired and wireless off the same SkyQ box?

Re: Can you connect 2 Sky Q boosters together to boost signal to sky q mini boxes around the house

Hi @bob1234, to be clearer I simply want to:

1.  Place one booster within range of my SkyQ box which is wirelessly connected to my router (BT).
2. Connect this booster physically to a point to point Ethernet cable down to my garden room.

3.  Connect to a 2nd booster in the garden room and connect wirelessly to mini box.

My concern is that this will may not work as boosters can be daisy chained wireless but not point to point as fixed extension over Ethernet.

Thanks

@Suffolk+Smuggler  Sorry I thought you wanted to use the booster to extend your home WiFi which it will not do with BT as your broadband provider.

If possible just run an ethernet cable from your main Q box to the one in the garden room and don't worry about boosters.

@bob1234 thanks, can I still then run a Sky booster and other Sky Mini's in the house on WiFi on the same setup? i.e. the garden room is hardwired to Sky Q but everything else is on Wireless.

@Suffolk+SmugglerYes you can mix ethernet and WiFi but remember you can only use two mini boxes simultaneously.

@bob1234 thanks Bob, top man, I only wish I could easily connect whole property with Ethernet!
