Can't connect OCTO smart bulbs (WIZ) to Q Router
I recently had two lights installed on my porch with OCTO smart bulbs controlled by the WIZ app.
So far I have been unable to pair the buns even when using the manual method. I think the problem may be that the OCTO (WIZ) bulbs need to be assigned to the 2.4Ghz channel.
I have accessed my Q router on 192.168.0.1 but I am unable to access the options to change the channel setting as I can't log on with my default router nane and password nor with admin-sky which I have seen mentioned.
I would be grateful if anyone could help me access the menu item I need to change the channel for WIZ.
Even better, if anyone has gone through the process and can give me an idiots guide.
Thanks in anticipation,.

I don't know if this will help with your password but if it does turn off 5Ghz set up your light and then turn 5Ghz back on.
EDIT
Just looked at the WIZ site, most of the bulbs seem to be controlled by Bluetooth from the WIZ app.

A lot of smart devices use the 2,4g WiFi signal and if yo have a mesh network and your smartphone also has to be on the 2.4g WiFi in order to be able to setup these devices. Once configured, your smartphone an be on the 5g WiFI and the app will work with thes smart devices.

Thanks for the replies.
I have now managed to sign in to the hub WIFI settings but I am unsure as to how to progress from there to make sure the bulbs are on 2.4Ghz channel.
Regarding Bluetooth, I have looked at that on my smartphone but it doesn't detect the bulbs, need to research that more.

You unsynchronize the bands, then rename one of them. Assuming the bulbs can only see 2.4Ghz anyway, that should be enough: from that point everything is done in the bulb app.
BT Halo 3+ Ultrafast FTTP (500Mbs), BT Smart Hub 2

That is exactly what I had to do with our smart plugs.

Thanks for the replies. In idiots language how do I assign the channel for the OCTO bulbs as can't see any setup option on my screen or channel dropdown ;ist all I have is the 2.4Ghz screen.

You don't set a channel. You just make sure the 5GHz is seperate from the 2.4GHz and that the 5GHz has a different SSID and that the 2.4GHz is using the same SSID and password as you normally use. You phone and/or tablet will connect to the 2.4GHz and you can then setup your smart bulb(s) according to the directions in the app.

Re: Can't connect OCTO smart bulbs (WIZ) to Q Router
I have added a few extra characters to the 5.0Ghz SSID to make it different and my mobile shows that as a separate 5.0Ghz network (I am connected to the default SSID) but I am still unable to connect nor get the bulbs pulsing.. The bulbs are shown as OCTO Wiz Smart GU10 LED Turnable White Lamp.
I've tried installing the OCTO app but it tells me my email is already registered, must have tried before, but have no record, and if I ry to rest my password it says my details don't appear correct,. Doesn't seem to be an option, even with uninstalling of restoring things to default.
As far as I can tell my PC doesn't have Bluetooth capabilities (AUSTek Computer Inc. Prime H310M-E R2.0 (LGA1151) so cant try that as an alternative.
Not sure where to go from here.
Very frustrating.
