Android issues

I installed my sky q hub while waiting on engineer to install the hardware but after this my android box won't stream. If it does the picture isn't of same  quality that I had on sky+ router.

Is this common and is there a fix? If no fix can I reinstall my sky+ router to run sky q

thanks

@Paul+Byrne+17 no your old Sky hub is not going to work with Sky Q if it is the old upright type. However when you get the Skky Q tv boxes installed the position should improve as each Sky Q box acts as a wifi booster. The TV engineer will check the signal strength when installing the boxes and will give you a booster if the TV boxes need one. Assuming the TV the Android box is connected to is getting a q box that should sort the issue.

Your old hub had only the 2.4GHz band which can be highly congested but your new hub is dualband. The 5GHz band is faster but has less range so if your Android box is behind your TV it is not getting sufficent signal on that band. You can try restarting the Sky hub to see if it finds a less congested 2.4GHz channel in the meantime alternatively you can try changing the channel, manually see here
