Agatha Raisin, Are new episodes premiered on Sky?

I have always enjoyed watching Agatha Raisin on Sky, the new series four episodes seem to be premiering elsewhere but no sign of any new 2022 episodes from Sky. Are Sky no longer going to be premiering the series's.

It's a shame if they have indeed dropped premiering rights, this is annoying as I can watch now with a subscription from another provider.

Thanks in advance.

At the minute, it seems the only episode aired for season 4 has been the christmas special for 2021.

Does not seem that there is a release date for the other episodes (yet) but you could email viewer relations at viewerR@sky.uk as they may have more information on this.

I have just watched series 4 episode 2 on a different platform and it is very very good for those who follow the series and cant wait to see whether Sky pickup the rest of series 4.

@JamiePez Agatha Raisin series 4 is on the Acorn TV app which Sky doesnt carry given.  The series is listed as an "Original" I suspect it wont come to a linear channel quite yet. Assume Acorn outbid Sky to get it to hook subscribers, these streaming platforms breed like rabbits so to watch that series will cost you another £4.99 a month if you cant watch all of the episodes in the free first month.

Acorn is part of the RLJ Entertainment the distributors for many TV programmes so I think it is a bit  like Disney & HBO  etc putting on their own platfrom exclusively or  before releasing to others

@JamiePez

Looks like it'll be March when it will land on Sky.
Perhaps it may be that they're waiting for all episodes to be aired via Acorn before having them all available to download via Sky. No fact behind that, just my speculations.

@JamiePez @Chrisee

This article says it's actually been an Acorn property since S2 in 2018: presumably they are now running it as an exclusive to promote the streaming app which has only been around in the UK since 2020.

Series 4 is available on Acorn TV in the US with more new episodes this month.

The UK version on Acorn only has the Christmas episode so is behind the US.

It does say on UK version new episodes weekly - but not seen any.

The last episode goes out on the 21st February and there is a months free trial, just take the trial and set a reminder to cancel it so there are never any costs for it. Then set your VPN to the USA and go to the acorn website and these you will be able to watch the new episdoes every week, episodes 1, 2 and 3 of series 4 are currently available to watch.
