Adding second sim but keeping number

Hi, I wonder if anyone can help. For historic reasons both mine and my husband's mobile phone accounts have always been in my name. Two numbers, two accounts, two bills, same bank account but both in my name. Until last year both accounts were with EE.

I switched 'his' phone to Sky mobile more than a year ago. The Sky account is in my name. He's since accrued a lot of data in the piggy bank.

I am now out of contact with my mobile provider and would like to switch to Sky mobile too.

Can I add an additional SIM to the Sky account, transfer my existing number, pay the cheapest tarrif and use some of his piggy bank data? This would mean I would have one Sky mobile account with two numbers.

I can only find answers on how to share the account with family members but I've got no idea if I can transfer a second number over if it's in the same name as my current Sky account. Thank you.

@Sandra20000  Yes, Yes & Yes.

As long as both sims are under the same account you can share piggybank data.  You can have up to 7 sims under the one account.

You can port your number to the new sim.  You can order these online https://www.sky.com/shop/mobile/plans

Re: Adding second sim but keeping number

Thank you both so much for your help. I really appreciate it. I noticed that if I'm logged into the MySky app I have the option to add an extra sim. Is that the best link to click on, rather than clicking on a link when I'm not logged in? Finally, if I'm out of contract with my existing Sky sim will the extra sim but both sims in a new 12 month contract or just the new one?

Hi @Sandra20000  do it from within your account or you won't be able to share piggybank data if it's not ordered via your account. This will just start the new one on 12 months not the old one.
