The asus have been the most straightforward to set up. Try @Neil+Stevens suggestion

@Neil+Stevens just noticed that.  But not sure it would impact authentication 🤔

Re: ASUS ZenWiFi AX

Brilliant news!

it now works. The dns. Seem to be the trick.

I know I might seem picky at this point 😂

but having done speed tests.  Everything running through the mesh now appears to be limited to around 50mb on speed tests. The sky router was more like 300mb.

any ideas on what might be slowing it down?

the same cable that was feeding the sky router is now feeding the ASUS so I'll assume it's not the cable and must be something on the ASUS?

If the Asus has only been up for a limited time then you need to wait about 20-30 minutes for the 5Ghz DFS wireless channels to be operational when using these wireless channels, eg: it'll only operate on the 2.4Ghz wireless band until that period of time has passed. Also, the 5Ghz DFS control channel may need to be changed manually if radar signals are detected locally.

Re: ASUS ZenWiFi AX

Hi, just set up my new ASUS AX's but need help with Sky Q Wi-Fi which is still running.

I'm a complete novice so please be kind.
I have FTTC superfast speed of up to 56 Mbps, a mini box and a phone line.
If I want to just have the ASUS mesh running the Wi-Fi what do I need to do to disable the Sky mesh? Is it a simple procedure?

Re: ASUS ZenWiFi AX

Did you have any problems with the sky Q mini box when using zen ?

I get stuttering and connection drops on the mini box. I have tried using home plugs but they seem just as bad.  Sometimes the minibox will drop connection and say it cannot connect but I can see it is the zen app. I am not sure what the issue is at all.  Do the sky mini box communicate via WiFi to the main Box directly or via the router?

Re: ASUS ZenWiFi AX

Hi, I'm still using the Sky Wi-Fi for the main Q box and the mini box so haven't tried disabling  Sky Wi-Fi just yet. Just want to have Wi-Fi over 1 network (ASUS) so until I can get some guidance im loathed to touch anything just yet. Won't have a mini box in a few months or so which will be one less hassle I think.

@Nocky8888

When running sky q thru non sky mesh it will go on the 2.4ghz wifi band. Are you running the zenwifi thru the sky hub? If so you can run the sky hub and mesh as normal for the sky q box and push the 5ghz channel as far up the freq range so they don't interfere with each other . Sky goes up to 80mhz whist zenwifi can go to 160mhz. Therefore the two ssids can co exist.

Double checking with @mae-3
