The control channel on each wireless band under the wireless tab sets the frequency. The wireless band is a dropdown list. Set the control channel to 52 on the 5Ghz-1 band. The 5Ghz-2 band can be left on automatic for the control channel.

Re: ASUS ZenWiFi AX

Ok so firstly thanks all for the help so far.
I've not set my ASUS Zenwifi 6 to AP mode but using a different  Wi-Fi  SSID than my Sky Q Wi-Fi. This is working but I feel I'm not optimising the AX system fully.
Q1: Should I be running in AP mode?

Q2: if so should my ASUS Wi-Fi name be the same as my Sky Q SSID and password?

Q3: if I should be running the ASUS as a router, should I keep the SSID name and password the same and disable Wi-Fi in the RS203 Sky Q Hub? Does anyone have a step by step guide to setting up correctly?

Q4: if so should I hard wire in my Sky Q mini box so I don't get dropout of signal on 2.4 GHz channel?

Q5: We have a phone line with Sky, will any of the above cause any issues with the router?

As mentioned previously I'm not computer savvy by any stretch so an idiots guide would be much appreciated.
Appreciate it's New Year's Eve so don't expect any replies tonight. HAPPY NEW YEAR all !

Re: ASUS ZenWiFi AX

How were you able to ditch the sky router? Don't see an option for setting to DHCP 61?

Re: ASUS ZenWiFi AX

Thanks for replying! Another user has mentioned I have to use the sky router as I have full fibre into the house?

Incorrect. The ethernet from the ont plugs into the blue ethernet wan port of the asus.

Can you post the settings from qis (quick internet setup. ) of the asus to see if client ident is there

So the quick internet setup doesn't find any devices. I presume this is because I've already set it up?

Can you do via the settings page on the app?

Re: ASUS ZenWiFi AX

Hi,

Sorry to tag onto the back of this thread, but I think it has some info related to what I am looking to do...

I have set up my DSL-AC68U in place of my Sky Router (thanks to @cookiemonsteruk ).

What I want to do now is address the wifi deadspots in the house (cellar and back bedroom).  I was looking at getting a twin pack of Zen WiFi (possibly the mini's) , but what I am not sure about is whether they can both be added as access points?  The docs I have seen online show 1 as a modem and the other as an AP, so unsure if I can/should get them or whether to get some other asus router(s)?

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Many thanks,

Alan.
