well i was out this morning ,while i was out i had a missed call, when i pressed the number of the call,i had a recorded message saying sky was trying to get in touch with me,i tried to phone the number back it kept ringing,so when i came home ,i phoned another customer number to find out why they had phoned me,they checked and said they have no record of anyone phoning me today, and warned me that some scammers are phning people to say they was from sky, anyway while i was at it,i told them my new contact to get the full package cheaper runs out in february ,and then it goes right up to the full amount of 98 pounds 50 a month,so i said i wont be able to carry on with sky on that amount,so the sky person said phone us either at the end of december or the beginning of january ,and we will see what deal we can offer you,he said youve been with us for over 20 years now,so we wont expect you to pay that much.

Thanks for your reply,so it seems like it was a scam call, point is i dont have no worry for them to ask for bank details, because i pay sky by invoice they send me anyway,so they would not have got that imfo out of me anyway, but its worrying, because,i might have got caught out ,thinking it was from sky.

I wasn't aware Sky would accept that method of payment. T's and C's stipulate continuous card payment or direct debit.

theyve been accepting that for years now.

You're right, they don't any more, but I believe there's a residual small number of long established customers where Sky have agreed it. However, one missed payment and Sky are likely to insist on a regular monthly payment method.

yes probably because ive been paying that way for over 20 years now,but if i was a new customer, they may not let me pay it that way.
