refund for overpayment

I spoke to Sky about an overpayment on my Sky TV and broadband package, it went on to the wrong account by mistake, it should of been onto my mobile account. They couldn't transfer the amount but said they would refund it but it would be minus a couple of films bought ....I paid my mobile bill separately and was expecting my refund but I still haven't received it. This was on the 17th... I am concerned as I need this money to replace having to pay my mobile bill again .... Does Anybody know how long it takes to come through without calling them?

Have you checked that they haven't applied a credit to this account instead of issuing a refund ?

It is worth checking because if it is on it as a credit you have until 18.00 to phone Sky about getting it refunded before the lines shut for Christmas.

Re: refund for overpayment

I have a balance of -88 which is under the refund about I should have gotten so does this mean they have credited it not refunded it? Is there anybody from Sky on here? I need to get this sorted out today but at work and can't sit waiting on a call .....

@MJ218771

I'm afraid you won't get it sorted today. No refunds will reach your bank on a weekend or bank holiday and no one from Sky will call you.

Then that is a credit that can be reunded. If you don't want to call we can alert Sky's messaging team but we will be unable to do this until after Christmas.

@MJ218771 give Sky a call to start the ball rolling. Any refund is unlikely to reach your bank account until 3 January at the earliest.
