put credit on my acc

i put credit on my acc for my sky bill which is £74 and dont have enough on my card for the direct debit.will it just take the payment from my credit or will it try from the direct debit again and fail the payment.please can someone let me know asap thank you

It depends on the timing.  Without dates we (other customers) can only guess the full payment will be taken from the DD.

 

There is never any need to make manual payments unless specifically requested.

I am just another Sky customer and my views are my own even if you don't like the answers

basically i put the credit on the account as i had to use my credit card instead of my normal dd and i want to know if the dd fails does it just take from the credit which is the full amount.thx

To answer that question you need to look at your bill as per my post above, does the credit you put on it appear on it ?

Without dates, can't say.  We can't see your bills remember...

 

Bills are generated 14 days before payment date.  If you made a payment after that then they'll be attempting the full amount by DD.  (A failure will result in a reattempt 10 days later before incurring late payment charges and restrictions)

 

('Late') manual payments may be held until the following month's bill...

 

As an aside, you can change your payment method from DD to (credit) card collection - they may avoid timing issues...
