Why?
You should have a direct debit or continuous card payment set up as per the T's and C's you've previously agreed to so there's no need to make a manual payment unless Sky have requested one (ie: your services were restricted).

Re: making a payment
Are you trying to make a payment against a credit agreement but that apart there should be no need to make one as you should have something in place like a credit/debit card or a direct debit so Sky can take it from you automatically each month.

If your services have been restricted it will almost certainly be because of a missed payment. Sky won’t reinstate them until you’ve paid what you owe and you’ve also set up a new continuous payment method.
Until you’ve done this any calls to Sky will only prompt you to pay.
Restrictions of services are automatic and Skys agents can’t override the process, even if you’re told otherwise. Sky don't allow payment plans on overdue live accounts, nor will they consider promises to pay on or by a certain date.
If your payment is 2+ weeks overdue you will have to pay the next bill as well and if you’re in arrears for 56+ days Sky can fully terminate your subscription (but you’ll still owe the arrears).
If this is part of a credit agreement purchase (mobile or Sky Glass) non payment can see the credit agreement cancelled at which point the full amount becomes due in one payment .
Once your full payment has cleared and is in Sky’s account your services should be reinstated, but this may not be instant. Any payment you make over a weekend or on a Bank Holiday won’t be processed until the following week.
You should be able to pay the bill and set up your direct debit via the MySky app or online using this link

Re: making a payment
You may not get through if services are restricted as mentioned earlier.
Try calling Customer Services by dialling 150 (free) from either a Sky mobile or your Sky Talk landline if you have Sky Broadband. The forum doesn't allow the display of other numbers but official numbers to Sky from the UK are 03 numbers which are usually inclusive from non Sky phones.
