leaving sky

I have terminal cancer - I will pass awy with in weeks. I havbe been with Sky for 33years. You would think it would,  in these circumstances it would be made easy. On friday 29 August I managed to get  through. This was all done with no voice contact. just messages.  After trying to explain to  the agent, i was  told that there was a speacal team that deat with thiis and they would be in touch.I was offerred more prduct to buy or keep. Eventaully the young lady  said ther was a special team that dealt with this and would be in touch later. No such contact received. On this occassion this way a voice conversatiom. I am now using this forum - not in the hope someon else is out there in a similar situation but that a SKY REP may just look occasionally. I HAVE GIVEN THE 31 DAY NOTICE  - WILL STOP MY STANDING ORDER - RETURN YOURE EQUIPMENT

Welcom reply a.s.a.p

@cliveyboyuk  I'm sorry to hear about your situation, however I'm afraid no one from Sky will see this post, nor would they know who it belongs to, you would need to call back if no one has contacted you.

In case you're not aware this is a customer helps customer community and as such have no account access.

Like you I'm a customer here, Sky Employees are clearly identified as such.

Its Wednesday 27th August today.

In case you’re not aware you aren’t contacting Sky Customer Services on here. This is a customer led discussion forum where Sky customers are available to try to help other customers. Sky staff won't respond on here.

if you've successfully cancelled that will be fine. Return packaging will be sent out near the end of the notice period.

Don't cancel your direct debit to soon (you can't pay by standing order) as another payment may be due.

Hi @graham3306   What did Sky say when you reported your broken equipment?

@graham3306

That won't be a valid reason for Sky to allow you to leave if you're still in a minimum term deal.
