i was in hospital and missed a direct debit of 62 pounds and when i checked online banking sky are trying to take 142 pounds out instead.

What does the breakdown of the bill say the extra is for?

Doesn't sound far off. If your normal payment is £62 and you missed the last one, the next payment will be £124 plus a late payment charge of £10, so only an additional £8 to account for.

As this is a public forum of other Sky customers no one here would be able to tell you that. You would need to call Sky.

However that could certainly be accurate if it is now 2 months worth of bills plus a late payment charge added on.

This is a customer helps customer forum so you’re not contacting Sky Customer Services by posting on here.

If you haven't kept up your payments since you originally posted 6 months ago your contract will have been terminated by Sky (usually if arrears last 56 days or more).
