Just to be clear, the Q box doesn't give you 'Sky Go' as an app.  But the functionality to access the material is there (such as boxsets).

I am just another Sky customer and my views are my own

Any particular reason why you can't use On Demand via your Sky+ box?

Re: bill

Thats what i mean ,i would be able to acsess the box sets, catch ups and films anytime that way, which i cant do now,see i know windows ten did update on its own recently to another version,so sky are probably right that i cant now get sky go on this version of windows ten now, unfortunately i cant do a system restore to take it back to when i had the version o f windows ten i had before,my stem restore will only go back a few days.

Sorry, I don't understand what Sky Go and Windows 10 have to do with your Sky+ box.

@sweetheart4321  So the simple solution here has always been the most obvious one.  Connect your Sky box to your hub and hey presto all the on demand etc will be available.

Thus saving you weeks of messing around with Sky Go issues.

To me that would have been the 1st and most obvious thing I would have done rather than rely on Sky go.

My thinking too.

@sweetheart4321 power line adaptors would be an alternative to an ethernet cable connection to your Hub

Have a look at power line adaptors. Their use wouldn't involve moving any of your kit.

@sweetheart4321 for what it's worth, I  managed to get Sky Go working ok on my Windows 11 desktop, by uninstalling it, then scanning for, and resolving Registry issues using CCleaner and reinstalling.

Re: bill

Hallo mark, glad you managed to get yours working, but ive uninstalled sk go and installed it back again a few times now on my windows 10,its made no diference, and when sky phoned me yesterday, they said i now have the wrong version of windows 10 to get it now, well i  know my windows 10 did update it to another version ,automaticaly a few weeks ago,so maybe sky are right about that.

Re: bill

Even though i cant watch the box sets and films anytime or catch ups, i can still watch whats on in the daily listings, and with the start of the football season,i decided to pay my sky bill in the end,,but obly really because i like there football coverage, but tonight ,theyve got this sky sports plus channel,an extra channel, and are covering all of the championship matches this season,so tonight they had about 4 on, im watching one,but the silly thing is,there showing u the goals of the other matches when there scored, and keeping u up to date with all the matches, which i thought was a silly idea really, because if anyone wanted to watch 1 match and record the others, they will already know the scores in them.

You can't record the other matches. The only matches that can be recorded is whatever is being broadcast on the Sky Sports + TV channel. All the other games being played at the same time are available via additional streams from the Sky Sports App and cannot be recorded ( likely one of the reasons the score updates are provided).

Re: bill

Having been with sky for over 20 years now,a few months ago i had to take a new contract out to get the package a bit cheaper, ive decided now not to break the contract, but when this contract runs out, theres a good chance i will be leaving sky, first of all when it runs out,it will go up to the full price again, and now i cant get my sky go which has all the catchups and box sets and films anytime,im not getting my moneys worth,im hardly watching sky, because ive only got what on there daily listings, the only thing i really watch is there football coverage.
