Why does Sky treat their loyal customers of 22 years badly. No negotiating leave if you want. £2 of
Tried negotiating and they gave me £2 off my account. They do not mind if you leave and go with a different company.
Where is the loyalty, I suppose we are just a number.
Cannot believe the prices rise so quickly, we are still having the same service with no extras for the number of price increases they inflict on us. Why can we not report them to get a fair deal. All new customers pay very low prices. This is not a fair way to run a business. It looks like the longer you stay with Sky the more expensive it gets. A very disappointed customer who unfortunately will have to leave Sky.

Report to who? Sky are not obliged to give the discounts you desire.
As with all telecoms firms you get the best deals as a new customer, loyalty doesn't pay anymore.
Giving notice to leave may extract a better offer but be prepared to leave.

Most, if not all providers do this now. From recent posts on here it does seem that decent deals are increasingly hard to find. If you choose to leave the same is likely to happen at the end of your discounted deal with whoever you go with. Once you've been away for 18 months you'll be able to rejoin and benefit from new customer discounts.

Leaving when contracts up in a couple of months. £46 a month when we don't really watch many programmes is not good value. I'm probably going to get a freesat box that will cover most channels for free after the initial outlay. I've been with Sky pretty much since it started whenever that was.

Freesat by definition doesn't 'cover' subscription television, and what's available on Freeview depends on the local multiplex. Round here only the PSB channels are viewable on terrestrial television.

@Stniuk bear in mind that if you currently have Sky Q you'll probably need the LNB changed on your dish to support a standard Freesat box. It will be fine if you choose a dearer 4k Freesat box, or if you currently have Sky+.
