Why did Sky restrict all services - separate bills

Last night, Sky proceeded to restrict both my home internet and mobile services.

I regrettably had a balance owing on my mobile and so I was aware that I was at risk however I wasn't expecting my home internet to go too as this is a seperate bill which was paid in full and had no balance. Both bills come off separately every month and have their own direct debits. The home internet dd cleared fine, the mobile dd did not.

My question is: is it normal practice for Sky to restrict ALL services even where there isn't a balance due on them? I was expecting my mobile to be restricted but wasn't expecting them to also restrict my home internet too where I did not owe money on that.

I have now paid my balance and the restrictions are lifted but it would be good to understand why both were restricted and not just my mobile.

Posted by a Superuser, not a Sky employee. Find out more

There's no mention in the contracts of other services being restricted (other than the one in arrears).

See if anyone else can confirm.

I am just another Sky customer and my views are my own
