When exactly is my "Current Bill?

I've just changed my payment method. I've been advised that my current bill will be paid from the old method of payment and the new bill will be paid from the new method.

When does my current bill start? I am confused. The bills are paid in advance, so the bill I pay in October 1st is not for my current bill because that was paid in September 1st. So, the October Bill will be for October, NOT my current bill.

So why am I being advised that the current bill will be paid (future tense) for from my old bank account?

Therefore, my current bill has ALREADY BEEN PAID!!!

Can someone please explain the twisted logic to me.

@Vivianoblivian  Bills are generated 14 days before they are due to be paid therefore the bill for 1st October would have been generated around 17 September at which point it becomes your current bill

Re: When exactly is my "Current Bill?

OK, thanks for that. I'll leave enough cash in the old account to cover the "current bill". Hopefully the next payment will come from the new account.

Why do Sky not explain this fully, instead of using their twisted logic?
