What Happened to Sky Customer Service?

So I recently checked my predicted bills and seen my bill suddenly increases in September by £15

Literally just renewed my Contract at the end of March making sure to triple check with the online chat agent that I would not be hit with the yearly April increase straight of the bat.  Was reasurred not to worry my next increase will not be until 2026.

So Im thinking this must be some technical issue let me jump on the chat again and clear this all up to get it sorted.

Here is the nonesense Ive had to deal with, after going round in circles with the agent he confirms to me Sky can increase the price anytime they like. Im pretty sure this is not the case, How do we escalate things past these customer service agents  -

Here is the script I got that I could barely make sense of

"I understand your concern.

I can see your price has been change from Aug 2025 that's why your bills has been increase.

If you see before Aug 2025 you are on the old price and from Aug 2025 your price has been change to new price which happens from 1 April 2025

but in your case your price has been change from Aug 20-25."

Price increase happens every year once in UK.

Prices may increase during your minimum term.

You offers will remain the same but the price may chnage.

We also mention in our key fact that Prices may increase during your minimum term.

Hope you understand ?"

@Jeffy60

That's correct. Because you renegotiated so close to the annual price increase in April the increase for you was deferred until August.

@Jeffy60 You can make a complaint using the Complaints option in the forum footer.

I think you were misinformed on your original chat by that agent. What you've been told by the second one is correct I'm afraid.

As you renewed in March, you will have benefitted from Sky's price protection, which means you don't pay the usual April increase for 6 months.

I think you were misinformed as while you might have avoided the April price rise due to this it will have been deferred for 60 days to August which is what appears to have happened as we have seen other people who did the same around March also seeing increases in August.

Re: What Happened to Sky Customer Service?

Deferring an increase for 60 days right after agreeing on a price, and not making that clear is pretty shady practice

Feel free to register a complaint:

As there is no way you would be able to go through to August of next year without seeing a price increase as you will see teo during that time, this one and the usual April one next year.

Hi @Jeffy60   You only get one "annual" price increase. You need to examine your bills carefully. It may be that individual subscription discount periods may have ended.

@Jeffy60

You didn't have one in March 2025. That was probably your discount ending until such time as you renegotiated so close. The next one after August will be April 2026.

Re: What Happened to Sky Customer Service?

When I renewed my contract in March 2025 my price increased from what I was paying previously. That is what I meant by a price increase in March 2025

So when you renewed your subscription, the discount you agreed was less than it had previously been.
