I just had the same call, the the chap saying he was calling on behalf of sky.
so I asked him who they actually were, if they were only "acting on behalf of sky", and he hung up.

Just had exactly the same call, however they asked me for my full password. When I asked why they said 'if you're not interested just say and stop wasting my time' and hung up! They've been calling my son's number too

Sky always ask for your full telephone password when you call them or vice versa.
