Waiting over 2 months for €335 refund
Order 2 main box tv's and 3 mini boxes for house move, costing €335. Money was taken out of my account straight away. On day of insulation, 2 trees in my new estate interfered with signal so couldn't get satellite. I ended up getting streaming service, which is fine, but no where as good as satellite. Nearly 2 months later, and probably 8-10 hours being placed on hold, and trying to talk to someone, promised a call back...nothing. €335 is a lot of money and I need it back. Sky know they've taken that money, they couldn't provide their service, I shouldn't have to keep chasing to get it back.

Please explain exactly what you ordered and how it came to 335 euros? Sky Q equipment is loaned to you and whilst you may have to pay an upfront charge for a mini box you couldn't have ordered 2 x main boxes anyway.

I had a main and mini box from my previous address, I ordered another main box and 3 mini boxes, (a bit excessive I know, but I wasn't sure what was needed for the new house as I hadn't started living there, and wanted to ensure I covered bases) I was also told I could return any boxes if they weren't needed. The equipment for new main box and 3 mini boxes came to €335, that's what they took out of my account. Obviously the new boxes were never installed, hence my frustration of paying for equipment that couldn't be used. I also asked how I could return the main & mini boxes that I had from my previous address, I was told to use "return my shopping" by an post, which I did, then last week I received a brown box from sky for the old equipment, which I sent back about 3 weeks ago! One day I rang them to wait on hold for well over an hour, to then get a voice recording that their office was closed. It has been the worse experience trying to get my money back.

You should have taken the main box and mini box with you during the home move. I'm surprised Sky sent you another box as you can only have one main Sky Q box per address. Unless it's different in the ROI the equipment is still loaned to you and I can't see how it cost you that much… unless they've charged you non return fees for original equipment. I think you need to contact Sky Ireland and clarify what that charge was for.
