Sky don't agree a fixed cost each month. They set up packages for €120 per month and then start to add additional changes, that escalate to €180 very quickly. They charge you 5c per minute to speak with customer services and don't resolve the issue

Typically outbound telephone calls (outside an optional bundled allowance), movie rental/purchase and PPV sports events are the items will cause billing to change month to month: those by definition can't be covered by a 'fixed cost,' because they are for variable amounts.

And the other variation will be the end of a discounted period on one or more subscription elements. At this time of year, the annual price increase is also a factor: very few Sky subscribers are actually on a fixed cost contract, although many believe this to be the case.
