Urgent help needed - Tied into contract when I didn't agree

Hi

I called sky earlier to upgrade my Discovery+ to Discovery+ Premium with TNT sport.

The agent confirmed on at least five occasions that this would be a rolling 31 day contract that i could cancel at any time and with no impact to my current Sky contract end date.

However, I have just looked at my Sky app and have realised I have been tied into an 18 month TNT contract and my other Sky products have been extended by 18 months!

This is utterly disgraceful. I have tried calling Sky however it appears they're all on training today and I've been unable to get through to anyone!

What can I do to resolve?

Training won't last all day, I would guess a couple of hours max. You will have to persevere on the phone but the agent should be able to listen back on your original call to hear what was said. Remember the lines will be busier than normal when they resume.

What action should I reasonably be expected to receive from Sky?

If the previous call review confirms

The agent confirmed on at least five occasions that this would be a rolling 31 day contract that i could cancel at any time and with no impact to my current Sky contract end date.

then you would surely expect them to honour that.
