Yes, future bills as of next billing date 1st April showing £41. Which is an increase of £5. No email, no letter . Hence why i posted on here. They haven't given me the 31 day's notice that they are contractually obliged to do so. So where do i stand on this ?

Suggest you give Sky a call. They might allow you to cancel, but if you choose not to, I suspect you'll have to pay the new rate.

So, I tried to contact a real person to chat online with about this today...
Been with Sky for all of 3 months and then 10% whacked on... £18.88 per month exit fee seems utterly ridiculous too!!
The bot they have is complete garbage (for want of a better word). Yes I'd like to discuss the price increase... Thanks, for the pointless info...I know he details.. just give me the link you promised for contact us... Erm... No why am I going in circles without a link... Hello anyone??
So, rather than go insane by trying to follow the instructions and expect different results... I found a complaint form...
Ah, so that's working great then too!
I can reload the page, change all the options... Still won't submit.
It is however clever enough to know if I've missed a field.. so 1 part works.
So, I thought I'd come here and join other ranters.

The 'price protection' specified in the contract is for sixty days, so that's entirely possible.

Hi
Please remember that termination fees will not apply only if you have reached your minimum contract date. Please check the Sky link below and read carefully for the correct information.Hope this helps.

Spoke to an adviser today and absolutely no hassle - very kind and straightforward. Managed to cancel our contract with no termination fees due to the price rise. The adviser confirmed that we have 30 days to cancel hassle free and I assume this would apply to anyone.
On the automated voice recognition part of the call make sure you say 'cancel broadband price rises' this seems to have worked. My first call I said 'cancel broadband' and I was greeted with a default message of not being able to cancel as I'm still in contract.
Long story short - speak to an actual human and it'll get sorted!

Only applies to broadband contracts, not tv

I have also tried to ruduce my bill because I can longer afford the increase. I dont know any company in the world that ignores customers requests for help. Sky totally ignores a customer that has been with them for 13 years and charges £29 from broadband and currently offers NEW customers £26 for the same broadband service. I know what is going to happen to my loyalty when this current contract expires. Sky treats customers like trash.

So frustrating to see other people receiving emails from Sky and then Sky denying they have ever been sent.
I received an email saying my prices were not going to go up despite my contract coming to an end, just a little treat from Sky because they care about their customers during these difficult times and I don’t even need to do anything, just sit back and enjoy my Sky TV at the same price for another year. How lovely of them! …surprise, surprise my prices are showing as increased as of next month. Spoke to live chat who said not to worry, the account would update today to show the lower prices are still valid and it hasn’t! Have put a complaint in and got a reply which basically may as well say ‘what on earth on you on about, of course your prices are going up because your contract is ending!’
So that’s twice I have now been lied to by Sky about my prices, furious does not even cover how I feel right now about Sky, their dodgy practises and awful customer service. Is this something the Ombudsman would deal with?

Posted by a Superuser, not a Sky employee. Find out moreThis thread was started regarding the annual price increase which came in affect on April 1st. Your issue sounds like a discounted deal ending in which case, unless you negotiated a new discounted deal which would come with a new 18 month deal, you would end up paying the full standard price.

@Daniel0210 but that's the point, I got an email from them to say I wouldn't be paying a higher price, I would carry on paying the reduced price for another 12 months but now they're back tracking and saying that's not right.
I just people complaining about Sky prices and thought I would join I'm l, thanks for listening everyone 😂😂

Posted by a Superuser, not a Sky employee. Find out more@Feefee07 these emails normally mean you will recieve the same level of discount, not that you wont see a price increase as the price list the discount is based can and will increase annually
you could take it up with sky if it clearly stated no increse otherwise the above is probably likely
