Unexpected charge

Hi there, 

my boyfriend has recently moved in and we have went with his sky package and cancelled mine. I did speak to various people on the phone during this process so  was shocked once I received a text to say I would have to pay a £145 fee to terminate my contract. 
surely I should have been given this information from the various employees I spoke to as it may have changed which packed we kept and which package we cancelled.

When you cancelled why you still in a contract for your services as that might be what this charge is so I would call them back explaining why you cancelled and that you were not told there would be this charge. Let them know the dates and times you called them so if needs be they can listen to what was said to you,.
