Unavailable Rewards

I have been a Sky Customer for over 5 years and before renewing my subscription a couple of months ago, I had access to the very small rewards at Sainsburys, which I considered a small treat for the substantial monthly payment that I make to Sky. Since renewing, I continually get the message that all the coupons have been used.  Before I renewed I used to get one of the treats each week, now I have not been able to get a coupon for over two months. I appreciate that the coupons are subject to availability but now read that they are specific to each customer. Why did I receive the coupons before but I don't now. Was it to entice me to renew but am I not worthy now that I have renewed. Not sure whether I will be renewing my sky subscription next time, particularly with the favourale deals via Virgin Media.

Re: Unavailable Rewards

In an age of full transparency, I would suggest that Sky should be confident enough to publish how many coupons are available/left with a running total of how many are left to download. They know how many they put out and they know when they're gone so they could easily have a count of how many are left. They gain goodwill and good marketing by advertising rewards as an incentive, but could, for example only put out 100 coupons. Cheap advertising for little cost. How many coupons do the offer? 10? 10,000?

I don't think this is anything to do with you renewing as you have to be both online and really quick when these coupons are first made available between 10 and 11 each Wednesday morning. If you try at most other times you probably will be out of luck as they will have been snapped up.

For the speed the vouchers tend to go at, I doubt that would be practical, as that count could only possibly work when you first load/or refresh the page, and by the time the page loads/refreshes, that number would almost certainly be inaccurate and wrong.

Also i'd be surprised if the number of vouchers available wasn't confidential information as part of the commercial agreement between Sky and Sainsburys.

The way and the timing of when the vouchers are released was made a couple of months ago in order to make it fairer to all registered Sky VIP customers to be able to claim the vouchers. Previously all the vouchers were released on a wednesday morning, as opposed to being released daily, which did mean that if you for any reason a customer was unable to check the app on a wednesday morning, or early afternoon they probably had 0% chance of being able to claim a voucher. At least the current method makes it fairer for all the millions of registered VIPs to have the same smaller chance of being able to grab a voucher, by releasing smaller batches on a daily basis at different times.
