Trying to set up direct debit

I'm trying to set up a direct debit for a new TV and broadband package as I am just moving into a new house. I get right to the end and when I set up my direct debit it keeps telling me to 'check my account information'. I have even tried different bank accounts but to no avail. How can I resolve this and get my direct debit set up so I can receive my router and sky stream?
